Wow! I can't believe how quickly these last 4 months have flown by. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our little man home. Weston continues to get bigger by the minute. We went to the doctor last Friday and discovered that Weston now weighs 18 lbs 9 oz. (he's in the 97 percentile for weight). He's doing everything a 4 month old baby should: he smiles at everyone, he coos, he giggles (especially when you tickle his chunky thighs), he blows bubbles, he rolls from his stomach to his back and from his back to his side (we're not quite to our tummy, yet), and now he's even trying to sit up. We also started him on cereal twice per day, mainly because we can't get him to take a bottle and he needs to be eating something during the day while he's at the sitter. Speaking of the sitter, yes, sadly, I go back to work beginning the 18th of this month. I'm sad to be leaving Weston, but I'm looking forward to the routine that working brings and the ability to converse with other adults again. And, since I'm returning to work, we've begun "sleep training". Yes, it's as bad as it sounds. We're working on getting Weston to sleep in his crib in his room through the entire night. Up until now, he's been in our room in the pack-n-play and waking 2-3 times per night to feed. Now, we're working on getting him to sleep through the night without feeding. We first began our sleep training Sunday night (it was tough hearing our little guy cry himself to sleep) and last night, he did really well, sleeping from 10:30 pm until 4:30 am. Hopefully tonight will be even better. Well, sorry this post is so long. I will try not to go so long between my next posts so that I will not have to cram tons of info into one post.
